You Call It AMAZING!

July 24, 2008 is identical to the word AMAZING!

Confounded? Well, Yesterday was simply the Inter-college Pasundayag and Debate Competitions held in the UP-V Campus, Iloilo City. And of course, I witnessed a variety of astounding episodes there. Let’s take it step by step.

Yesterday morning we were so dismayed since we didn’t make it to the UPV bus so in turn we just traveled the one-hour trip via jeepney. (What else? CERES?) Hmmm, It was a bad hair moment for us Kanlaonians coz Mr. Wind was so brutal. In the jam-packed city, Kabz Jessa, Donnie, Pangs and I went on to SM city for we have to purchase necessary things. In line with that, I really have to buy a bedsheet and I as well decided to let my hair be chopped off.

Regarding the former, Kabz accompanied mi to Freshaire Salon. (Thanks to the stylist for the new-fangled look! Mind you, she’s so nice and I didn’t feel awkward upon approaching her.) I’ve a got a whole new hairstyle. I got this side-swept bangs thingy and my hair’s shoulder length. Whoo! I think it’s good and the style fits me. I was showered with compliments by numerous people. Salamat! (I'll post pics soon, don't worry.)

Okie, right then we proceeded to the UPV City campus for there was an inter-college debate. Actually, we’ve only viewed the “championship” match between the College of Arts and Sciences (Go CAS!) and the College of Management. The debate was OUTRAGEOUSLY AWESOME. Gawd! I love these candid lines from Ate Rachelle who was hailed as the Best Debater, “Please sit down! I said, please sit down!” and “It’s so preposterous!” haha.

Aside from that, the Best Speaker award was given to Kuya Michael. (Whoah! He’s astoundingly CUTE! Hehe.) FYI, the two of them are from CAS. Haha. Hmm, I guess the topic of the debate was about legalizing euthanasia. Hmm, sorry, I just arrived in the middle of the bout thus I didn’t have the whole knowledge regarding it. And well, who reigned? Unquestionably, it’s the CAS. Haha. Support your own. They crumpled the city’s CM like pieces of filthy paper. Haha.Poor them. Our debaters are simply, FIRST-CLASS.

After that was our most awaited part, the Pasundayag. Let me explain to you what pasundayag is, uhm it's a contest among the colleges wherein the performers are the TEACHERS and the STAFFS and not the students. It was totally ASTIG! I saw two of my teachers namely Mr. Casimero and Mr. Camua who were doing their stuffs. (They were dancing like the Coverboys! Nyahaha.) I adore all the performers' costume too!. Well-prepared! There were fairies, rockers, nostalgic people and the like. But indeed, one of the highlights of the show was the Chancellor who portrayed Mr. Oble. (dancing Oble!). He's terribly FUNNY!

The show was really awesome. The four competing teams are so extreme and hindi talaga papipigil. They strut their things well. It was definitely worth watching. I couldn't resist laughing yesterday. Imagine, the deans and the chancellor and even the faculty did those thingamajigs only to bring exuberance to the audience? It seemed they were shedding off their dignity somehow. haha. I just love their spectacular performances. (A round of applause for them!)

So far, again, the CAS won! Whoohoohoo. (Does it imply that the CAS people are naturally multi-talented? hehe.) Cheers! A whooping 20,000php for the staffs and teachers. Hehe. They certainly deserved it. The show ended and we ran as fast as we could so that we could avail the bus. Ssshhh. Honestly, we were on the end of the line but thank God, pina-SINGIT kami. Well, daming friends eh. Hehe. Yehey, I saved 40php. (Isang meal na yun! Hihi.)

9:50pm and we're already back in the dorm. I was pooped out so I slept a bit earlier last nyt at 1am. Haha. (I used to sleep at 2am. Hehe. Til here. I was KILIG yesterday. Basta. Muah. Hearts2x!
